I’m proud to announce that the MetaBrainz Foundation has just signed up the first client for its live data-feed service! This presents a major milestone for the foundation, since it proves that there are companies interested in and willing to pay for this service.

The only downside is that I cannot mention who this company is. This will have to stay secret until they roll out their product with our service under the hood. So, until then sit tight and stay tuned!

  1. Awesome! Well done in getting the project to a point where this is viable.

I look forward to seeing MusicBrainz data in the wild!

  2. That is great to hear! A big congrats to you & the
other developers and a big pat on the backs for all
    of us mod maniacs.

Yes, seeing Data provided by MetaBrainz Foundation
instead of AMG (All Meta Garbage) ๐Ÿ˜‰ will be nice!

  3. Something in me is twiching, saying it’s Audioscrobbler, but that’s just a wild guess. They announced the integration to MB some time ago, and constatly tell us to clean up our metadata ๐Ÿ™‚

But then again, i might be totally wrong.

  4. Looks like it is indeed the ‘scrobblers! The new site launched today, and it’s chock-full of MB goodness. Congrats to all involved.

  5. Negative!

AS/last.fm will be the second (or perhaps even THIRD!) customer. They are finishing off their round of investment currently, and once that is complete, we’ll sign them up as a customer.

But yes, congrats to AS team!
