#YearinMusic 2025 is out now!
A bit like Spotify’s Wrapped (but way super better, in my extremely biased opinion) your ListenBrainz Year in Music report summarizes your listening habits from throughout the year 2025… and now, back through time!

As mentioned, the big news! this year is that we have made a single system and page for all years of YiM. We are going to miss the unique designs and imagery that we got to make every year, but it placed a big strain on our small team. Generally speaking, we used to expect over a month’s work in the lead up to YiM, with other ListenBrainz tasks falling to the wayside. Now we are not just being more efficient, we are taking a step forward! We have done some soul-searching and realised that it’s time to stop copying Spotify.
ListenBrainz users are more interested in longevity and sweet sweet data over one-off hype. The new YiM has a richer selection of data, lets you browse through the years, and is a system that allows us (and you, if you are an open-source dev) to make improvements and additions to all years at once. If we allow ourselves a moment of daydreaming, perhaps even new YiM stats and graphs that interweave and compare trends over multiple years? Easily generating a sneak-preview YIM when Spotify drops Wrapped, criminally early as always? New doors are open.
While we were over-hauling, we also made a bunch more additions and updates, but a click is worth a thousand words… what are you waiting for, go check out your YIM!
Note that we have moved the old YiM pages to a new ‘Archived’ section of the Explore page. If you are a fan of the old graphics (we will miss them too) then we recommend saving them, as eventually these legacy pages will be removed.

If you have existing 2025 listen data in Spotify or last.fm, you’re in luck – import your listen data now and we will re-generate all YIMs at the end of January (Spotify import page) (last.fm import page).
