Explore Your Year in Music 2023

ListenBrainz is back with your #yearinmusic (YIM) reports for 2023! Log in to ListenBrainz (LB) and click here to see your report, or here if you don’t have an account but want to see what we are banging on about.

See your year summed up in a flash new summary collage. Revisit and share your top artists, albums, and tracks from last year. Topped off with new statistics, the new browsable cover collage, links to friends, and playlists created just for you by our hopefully-still–benign machine algorithm.

This year we will also re-run the YIM pages in a few weeks – this means that if you have listens from 2023 stored in last.fm or libre.fm, it’s not too late! Use that LB importer to get your YIM soon.

After last years ‘ahhhhhhh’ theme we have changed to a cozy ‘still ahhhhhh but let’s just relax to music’ theme. So get a hot drink, get comfy, and revisit your last year in music.

A notable addition is the new summary image, which collects together a number of different statistics, and has already proved popular on the social medias that the kids are using.

There has already been lots of feedback on the accuracy of the genres, as well as the hard-0n-the-occulars overlay of the text on the cover art. Don’t worry, we are carrying these learnings into next year! Another snazzy addition this year was a colour picker, for those who don’t vibe with the hip beige and green colour scheme. Find it at the very top of your YIM – some of the shareable/downloadable images will use this colour choice as well.

There are a number of other improvements – a nice user share bar, the clickable album map that now includes every shade out there, links to your friend’s YIM’s, and more tweaks for you to go discover. What are you waiting for?
